Ansel Adams artist analysis

These images are by Ansel Adams who was an American photographer who was born on February 20th 1902, California and died April 22nd 1984.

He basis his photography around rural settings and takes images of landscapes, trees, leaves and oaks.

He mainly focuses on black and white imagery including silhouettes of trees, reflections of different landscapes using the rule of three and a misty scenery and lighting from the sun and the moon. He also takes images of different weather and different times of the day for example he includes snow and mist in his images and changes of the sky.

His work links to mine because I use a lot of silhouettes of trees and branches and I also focus on black and white imagery more than colour because I think its more effective and I like to capture good lighting effect and taking images of different weather.
