These are some paintings that I have produced based on urban locations that I have visited mainly around the Manchester area such as Deans gate and the Northern Quarter.

 

For these set of paintings I wanted to experiment with my colour palate by using a lot of vibrant blues and reds in my palate and outlining marks with a thin blue marker pen especially for my northern quarter paintings of vintage buildings.

 

I am planning on developing these paintings further by possibly layering them over the original photograph that they are based on and blending them together.
